Lumera Energy becomes Furo
Exactly one year ago we launched as Lumera Energy — with a planning tool and a simple premise: commercial and industrial battery storage is taking off in Germany, but hardly anyone knows how to size it economically.
That premise held true. Project developers, installers, and manufacturers wanted to sell storage — and needed someone to deliver the numbers.
One year and 3,500+ optimized projects later, the market is at a different point. And so are we.
It doesn't end with planning
The first storage systems have been sold and installed. And now the real problem becomes clear: storage is planned with multi-use strategies — peak shaving, dynamic tariffs, flexibility marketing. But the software that actually delivers on that in operation is missing.
Most energy management systems are still static and rule-based. No forecasting model, no real multi-use optimization. And for flexibility marketing there is simply no accessible solution. The revenues are left on the table.
The first platform for the entire life cycle of a battery storage system
Furo is the first software platform that covers all three phases of a commercial or industrial battery storage system:
Plan – Economic viability calculation and sizing for C&I battery storage
Operate – Forecast-based, multi-use-optimized operation instead of static rule-based control
Flex – Flexibility marketing and unlocking additional revenue streams
The storage system doesn't just respond to what's happening right now — but to what's coming.
What changes for our customers — and what doesn't
For existing customers, nothing changes: full access to the planning software, just as before. But as soon as a storage system is sold and realized, we stay on board.
From the business case to a high-performing asset.
