The challenge
Battery storage is a central key to the energy transition in industry. Yet although it has the potential to massively reduce energy costs and make companies more resilient, it is hardly used. The reason: storage is usually operated statically today, according to fixed rules, without market intelligence, without dynamic optimization. As a result, enormous economic potential goes untapped.

With mathematical optimization, machine learning and precise forecasts, we enable multi-use operation and optimized energy deployment. This turns storage into a strategic advantage rather than an investment with a long payback period.
Who we are
Furo was founded by Lena Voß, Simon Wittner and Leonie Wagner. The three founders know each other from their time at the Technical University of Munich and have worked on the same problem from different perspectives: making energy economically usable. In research and practice — including at Berkeley and Stanford as well as in the battery, software and tech industries — we have seen again and again that the problem isn't the hardware, but the missing intelligence behind it.
